How income tax works here
Newfoundland & Labrador has eight tax brackets — the most of any province — so higher incomes move through several rates. Sales tax in the province is charged as HST, separate from income tax.
This tool combines federal and NL income tax and applies the basic personal amount. For standard T4 employment, it also estimates the employee share of CPP/CPP2 and EI. Other income, deductions and personal credits aren't included.

Yes. The calculator treats the amount as T4 employment and includes the employee share of CPP/CPP2 and EI. Self-employed income needs a different calculation.
